Depart USA on overnight flight to Rome, Italy. 

On arrival at Rome airport your director will greet you and escort you to your air-conditioned coach. From there we will enjoy a panoramic tour of Eternal City, lunch at a local Roman restaurant, and then check in at our hotel.  This afternoon we visit the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona.  Back to our hotel before our welcome dinner. A full day of sightseeing in Rome will reveal its great history and architectural beauty. Entrance to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica will satisfy your morning curiosity.  In the afternoon, your guided tour takes in the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Evening at leisure  Meals: Breakfast & Lunch 

We leave Rome today on our way to Florence.  On our way, we visit Siena where we will go back in time in this stunning medieval hilltop town.  Siena is the home of St Catherine and the beautiful Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena).  Guided tour and lunch on your own before continuing to Florence for dinner and overnight.    Meals: Breakfast & Dinner 

Today we enjoy a guided tour of Florence including the Accademia Gallery, home of Michelangelo’s statue of David, and the stunning Duomo Santa Maria dei Fiori.  Both locales are UNESCO listed.  In the afternoon we drive through the enchanting Tuscany countryside and reach a spectacular private estate where we will enjoy a typical Tuscan meal with local delicacies along with a tasting of delicious Tuscan wines. Finally, the time to enjoy the highlight of the tour has come! We will reach the town of Lajatico and its “Teatro del Silenzio (Theatre of Silence) surrounded by spectacular hills and vineyards, where Andrea Bocelli will perform in a unique event.   Meals: Breakfast & Dinner 

After a morning of leisure, we are off to the famous Guicciardini Strozzi winery in the Chianti region of Tuscany.  This family owned winery traces its ancestry back to the woman who modeled for Leonardo DaVinci’s “Mona Lisa” masterpiece.  After a tour and wonderful photo opportunities you will relax for a wonderful Tuscan dinner paired with the incredible Guicciardini Strozzi wines.  Back to Florence for overnight.  Meals: Breakfast & Dinner 
 

Today we are off to beautiful San Gimignano, the Town of Fine Towers.  San Gimignano is a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring stunning medieval architecture.  We will have a half day tour of this wonderful hilltop town including the Porta San Giovanni, the Piazza della Cisterna, and the Piazza del Duomo with the Palazzo del Podesta, Palazzo del Popolo and the Loggia.  After, we will enjoy a fun three-hour cooking class where we will learn the secrets of Tuscan cuisine.  (B|L)

Today we take the train to Venice.  After arrival and check-in at our hotel, we will set out on a walking tour of Venice that will include St Mark’s Square and Basilica, the Doge Palace, the Campo Santa Maria Formosa and finally the Rialto Bridge overlooking the Grand Canal. From here, you may continue with independent exploration or return to your hotel.  In the evening, we will sit back and enjoy a gondola ride through the enchanting Venice canals. Meals: Breakfast

Today we set out via water taxi to the islands of Murano and Burano. In Murano we will marvel at the artisans who create the world’s finest blown glass, and in Burano we will learn about the marvelous lace that’s been produced here for hundreds of years.  After, we return to the Venetian mainland for an afternoon at your leisure before our farewell dinner.  Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
 

After breakfast, transfer via water taxi to the Marco Polo Airport for our flight back home after an incredible journey through the Wonders of Italy. Meals: Breakfast
